Today at nursery we had a party to celebrate the Royal Wedding. We wore crowns that we decorated yesterday, played party games and ate a picnic of jam and cheese sandwiches, crisps and cake. Look at the photos to see how busy we were making the sandwiches and what fun we had playing the games.
In the last week of term the children in Nursery celebrated Easter together. We made Easter cards for our families, chocolate nest cakes and learnt some Easter songs which we sang in the school assembly. We also brought our Easter bonnets in and had a parade around school and in assembly.
On the last day we tried some hot cross buns which were delicious! Take a look at the photos of the fun we had.

During the 4 weeks running up to the Easter break the children in the Nursery have been really lucky to have drama lessons with Miss King from The Rep Theatre in Birmingham.
We have had many adventures from a voyage of discovery to find lost treasure, meeting ‘Eleanora the Explorer’ and a pirate, dressing up like pirates and attended a birthday party for the Queen! We all had a fantastic time, thank you Miss King.

Last week in Nursery we went outside to see what different shapes we could find in the environment. We then used chalks to draw the shapes on the playground. We can great fun!

Talking tip:
Make it easy for your child to listen and talk –Give your child quiet times without background noise (TVs, music etc)to help them focus on your words. Keep dummies to sleep times.
Today was the turn of the Frog family group to have their INSPiRE workshop. Mummy’s, daddy’s and grandparents came to have a fun time, making puppets, icing biscuits, sharing books and building rockets. Take a look at the photos below and what a great time everyone was having.

At the beginning of February the Nursery children celebrated Chinese New Year. 2011 is the year of the Rabbit. We had great fun doing dragon dancing in the hall in our P.E. lesson.
